Christmas Day in Peru!! I stayed up until midnight last night, and when the clock hit midnight, fireworks were going off like crazy!! We ate dinner at the latest time that i have ever eaten it, and toasted to a merry christmas!! i got some very good presents from my family!! They got me a beach towel, flipflops, new swiming trunks, and a puzzle of macchu pichu!! Now i get to look forward to the new year, when i am sure that everything will be much crazier!!

once again, havent posted in quite a while. schools almost over. just three more days of exams this next week and ill be out until i have to go to college in march. also the graduation ceremony will be on the 16th of december and the "Prom" will be on the 17th. in fact i have to go buy two flowers for my date today, as well as go to a rotary meeting. it should be quite fun. ive kind of put a hold on trying to learn quechua, which is the native language of peru, because i still lack a book. the language itself, however, does not seem too different from english, so ill be fine.

have not posted in quuuuiittee a while. a lot has been going on. first off, some of my friends from the US (I.e. all of my friends from school except for a select few) didnt like that i was talking in spanish of facebook. so i deleted them. second, was going to go on a trip this month, but decided to go on the same trip in april with another rotary club because the president knows what hes doing....switching houses in january and alllmost made it to my new house alone. was on the wrong side of the street cuz i didnt know what color the house is. at the least, i didnt die, and i now know the route to come back to la molina and visit my friends and family. going there again this weekend because now i know where the house is. im also sad because someone invited me to go to nasca but on the same day as my party of graduation. buttttt......yeah i dont have anything else to say jaja. soo...till next time. ¡¡VIVA EL PERÚ!!

have not posted in quite a long time. the trip was really cool. but i got a sunburn, massive headache, and massive stomach ache the last few days so that kind of sucked...otherwise it was an amazing time at the beach, and the hotels too. and the food was the best thing of all. well...that and the no school...but anyway, ill try to post more often.

sorry i havent posted in a while. been very busy with friends, parties, and of course school (especially exams). going on my school trip to piura, tumbes on the 14th. that is if my papers from the US arrive :S and then on the 21 or 22 im going on a trip with rotary. chaooo hasta luego

I ATE CUY YESTERDAY¡¡¡!!! it was weird but delicious. today i had to go to a rotary meeting and learn about a district in lima. it was better than school i guess. going to a discotech on the 8th of Oct. and on the 13th going on the school trip. should be fun :D

ive been bored for a while. finally done with exams as of thursday. until two weeks from now when we have more -,- ive just been hanging out with friends lately, and the trip for the school is coming up in....october i think.

Not much has been going on lately -,- going to a party on the 25th of september. should be fun. hopefully i find something to keep me from boredom soon -,-

I went to my first quince años party on saturday with Gabriela and Rilka, two friends of mine. it was my first actual party here and it was pretty fun. it was also the first time ive ever danced and my muscles hurt :/

Halfway through my second week of school. had about 4 earthquakes so far. hoping they dont get too major.

made it through my first week of school...tired so imma go to bed now...

my first day of school was a bit hectic. i had to take a psycology test so that took half my day...but otherwise my day was great.

i start school today. i have to leave in about 27 minutes. it should be fun and insteresting...

had fun last night. there was a party at our house. and tomorrow i start school... :(

had a fun day yesterday. i hung out with daniela and some of her friends. i think i embarrased her lol

had a fun night last night. went to la parque de las aguas (park of the waters) which is a park with a bunch of colorful fountains.

my second day was just as fun as my first. i hung out with diego and his girlfriend all day and we went to her grandmothers house. then we ate lots of meat and had ice cream.

whew! my first full day in peru was fun. it was also tiring. my facebook doesnt work here either...drank beer and wine for the first time today too...and im never drinking them again if i can help it. they tasted AWFUL. and now im tired so im going to go to bed...

tired...leaving soon to go to the airport. i fly out at 11.

i got my immunizations today. i had to get a shot for hepatitis A, typhoid fever, yellow fever, and H1N1. i feel sick now so im going to lay down...

Exactly 2 weeks until i leave for peru!! :D

I heard back from my host family today :D im going to ask them a bit about themselves.

finally received my guarantee forms and host family info. going to be staying in a district of lima called la molina. along with my host parents i will have two older brothers.

leaving on the 28th of july and i still dont know what city im going to 0.o
