Been back for about a week now. It still feels weird to be back -.-

Ill be leaving to go to the airport in a half hour. So ends my incredible journey in Peru.

My year of exchange is coming to a close as I have hit the 10 month marker...currently, I have 25 days left in Peru. This year was the best of my life, and will stay in my heart forever. I am definitely planning on bringing my family to Peru someday to experience all of the things that I have experienced this year first-hand. VIVA EL PERÚ!!

I have not posted in a while...The only important thing to mention is that I finally went on my trip to Cusco and Puno. Machu Picchu was amazing, and I know that I will never forget my experience of climbing the mountain of Huayna Picchu. It was a very tiring, but successful, trip. We also went to Lake Titicaca in Puno. That was also a very interesting trip. We even got to spend the night on one of the beautiful islands on the lake. I am still tired from that trip even after about a week or so of being back...I know that I will definitely have to go to Machu Picchu again someday...Probably with family.

It's been a while since I posted, but nothing very exciting has been going on lately. Just college, which I hate because the only class that interests me is chemistry...which the college does not offer...I do not usually leave the house much because my friends are all too far away for my liking and I hate taking a long trip on the buses. I will be going to Machu Pichu in May, so that should definitely be more fun than my average day...then I will be headed back to the United States on June 25th. I can not believe that my year is already almost up...

Weeellll, I have got a some big things coming up. First, I have college, which starts this Monday. That should be a great experience to meet new people and to learn about food, since they dont have any chemistry courses :(. The other big thing that is coming is the trip to Macchu Pichu :D. That should be the adventure of a lifetime. I only have about three months left in Peru :( so I think that I am going to use every day to my advantage.

I've had a pretty fun february. I was going to go to a Paramore concert yesterday, but we ended up not going. There is also an Ozzy Osbourne concert in April, so I may go to that one. The girl from Arequipa, Carrie, who has been living in my house all month will be leaving tomorrow I think. I'm going to miss her a lot and be plenty bored when she isn't here. Hopefully she'll get to visit Lima again, or I'll get to visit Arequipa before we leave. She is probably my best friend here now. See you later Carrie. Hopefully we'll see each other very soon.

Took a trip to a city called Caraz from the 9th of February to the 17th of February. It was veerryy fun, especially since I was finally able to take a picture with a really fat alpaca. (Except that it had lost quite a bit of weight since I had seen a picture of it X( ) And now my mom is here for a week. She has already been here for three days, and she seems to be adapting very well. The only thing she really dislikes are the buses. Since ive been here for a while, im used to it. Shell probably miss me a ton when she goes, but ill be back in four months. I might also move to a completely different city next month...but it depends on if the rotary here ever answers me :/

Have not posted in a looooong time...but there has not been very much to do lately. I had to help translate/run errands for doctors in a hospital for about nine days, which was actually really cool, because I was able to view some of the surgeries from overhead. I even got to see someone's hip bone get grafted into their mouth. After that, the only exciting thing that happened is that another exchange student from the US came to live in my house for a month to visit Lima. She was sent from the US to Arequipa so she lived quite a while away from here. I will try to keep my blog updated more sufficiently (even though I have said that before) and will put more of my adventures in Peru in it very soon. Chau.

FELIZ AÑO NUEVO A TODOS!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I finally left for a little bit a little bit before and after 12. I didnt really do anything too fun, but i was able to spend a bit of time with my friends. I hope the next new year will be better. :)
